Douglas Ebenstein Celebrates Grand Re-Opening of Falls Church Police Substation
Eden Center is proud to announce a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the renovation and grand re-opening of the Falls Church Police Department substation located in the Saigon West Mall at Eden Center.
The ceremony marks a significant milestone in Eden Center’s longstanding partnership with the Falls Church Police Department – and a renewed commitment to keeping Eden Center the safe, welcoming community hub it has always been.
A Partnership Rooted in History
The Falls Church Police Department’s presence at Eden Center is nothing new. The substation has been part of the fabric of this community for nearly three decades, a visible sign that law enforcement and Eden Center’s merchants and visitors stand on common ground. This renovation breathes new life into that relationship – upgrading the physical space and signaling that both Eden Center and the City of Falls Church are investing in the future of this community together.
Eden Center is home to more than 120 businesses, including restaurants, cafes, jewelry stores, salons, travel agencies, beauty shops, and music stores – and the people behind those businesses deserve to feel secure every day they open their doors. The renovated substation is a direct investment in that sense of security.
What This Means for Eden Center
Douglas Ebenstein, President of Capital Commercial Properties and Eden Center, Inc., sees the renovation as a natural extension of what Eden Center has always stood for.
“Eden Center has been a home for the Vietnamese-American community in Northern Virginia for over 40 years, and everything we do is in service of the people who come here to work, shop, eat, and celebrate their culture. Having a renovated, fully operational police substation on-site isn’t just a facility upgrade – it’s a statement that we take the safety and well-being of our tenants and visitors seriously. We’re grateful for the Falls Church Police Department’s continued partnership and proud to mark this milestone together.” – Douglas Ebenstein, President, Capital Commercial Properties & Eden Center, Inc.
A Symbol of Shared Values
At its core, this ribbon cutting is about more than a renovated room. It’s about the relationship between a community institution and the law enforcement professionals who serve it – and the shared belief that Eden Center should be a place where everyone feels welcome and protected.
Douglas Ebenstein continues to honor the legacy of his late father, Norman Ebenstein, who originally envisioned Eden Center as a vibrant community hub that not only provides economic opportunities but also preserves and celebrates Vietnamese culture and heritage. Douglas Ebenstein Investments like this one – in infrastructure, in safety, in partnership – are part of how that vision stays alive.
Strengthening the bonds between law enforcement and the businesses and visitors of Eden Center isn’t just a tagline for this event. It’s a principle that guides how Eden Center operates, and a commitment that both Eden Center management and the Falls Church Police Department are proud to reaffirm.
